Neutron Therapy News

News about neutron therapy in Detroit

Some very good news was reported by Dr Jeffrey Forman to the audience in Munich, July 8th, at the International Symposium on protons, ions and neutrons in radiation oncology. He advised that the service of fast neutron therapy, which had been recently withdrawn for non-clinical reasons, is to be resumed. This is expected to be effected under new ownership of the cyclotron which will also lead to a widening of the catchment area for patients. That will be good for patients and happy news for those involved with particle therapy.

More details will be posted in due course.

Dr Forman is the Medical Director of the Weisberg Cancer Treatment Center of the Karamos Cancer Institute and is the Patricia and E. Jan Hartman Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
